Waking Up

I like waking up at 4am to meditate. Except that it’s really cold and I don’t like the cold. I was meditating, in bed, under the dooner, with the heater on.
I was doing a guided meditation. He said to settle somewhere you won’t be disturbed. It was a meditation on Vishuddha chakra. We’d done the chanting, Ham, then Jordan, the cat decided he had to go out. I tried to ignore him but he came into the room and insisted, so I had to get up and let him out. It was still night outside with bright, shining stars.
I went back to bed to continue the meditation. The speaker went onto Ajna chakra. He said to settle somewhere you won’t be disturbed. We did chanting, Om. Then he said to look at the eyebrow centre and you will see a light. I looked outside and I saw a light. He kept talking about the light, and I kept seeing the light outside, like a torch sweeping over the demolition site behind me. I got the binoculars so I could see properly. Eventually a person came into view, walking and shining a torch. They went on by, out walking in the dark night.
I went back to bed to continue the meditation. The man went onto Sahasrara chakra. Finally I was settled and wasn’t disturbed. The Bija mantra of Sahasrara chakra is the soundless breath exhalation “Ah” . It was all quite extraordinary in the moment, he kept telling me to remember that I always exist in the moment. The meditation progressed as dawn became to appear through my bedroom window. There was one star shining in-line with my crown chakra. We chanted the soundless sound that is the sound at the end of Sarah. I have the sacred mantra ah in my name and I never even knew. No wonder I am on this spiritual journey. The horizon above the line of the dark sea slowly turned vivid orange fading upward into the darkness as night faded. The sky even turned deep violet as he said to imagine the sky becoming deep violet.
